Privacy Policy
Make it Rain, LLC ("we", "us") provides residential and commercial irrigation services in Fairfield County, Connecticut. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
When you become a customer or request service, we collect your name, service and billing address, phone number, and email address, along with details about your irrigation system and service history.
Information from our crew (the Make it Rain app)
Our employees run their working day in the Make it Rain app. Before the app opens for the first time, each employee reads and signs a written monitoring notice, as Connecticut law (Conn. Gen. Stat. § 31-48d) requires. For employees the app collects:
- Name, work email address, phone number and role, to sign in and to be scheduled.
- Location at the moment of clocking in and clocking out. If the company turns on the crew map, also location while clocked in: about every two minutes while the app is open, and when a job is started or finished. Never off the clock, never while the phone is locked, and the app shows “Location sharing is on” whenever it applies. Location records are deleted automatically after 12 months; hours worked are kept for payroll.
- Job notes, photos and voice recordings an employee adds to a job. Voice recordings are transcribed by our speech-to-text provider (ElevenLabs) and the approved text may be turned into suggested invoice lines by OpenAI; neither provider uses the recordings to train models.
- A push-notification token for the phone, so schedule changes can reach it.
Employees can see their own location trail in the app. The owner and the office can see everyone’s. An employee can delete their account from the app (More → My Profile); time records are kept as payroll requires.
Signatures and payments taken on site
A customer may sign for completed work on a crew member’s phone; the signature is stored as an image with that job. Card payments taken on site use Stripe’s Tap to Pay; card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored in the app or on our servers.
How we use your information
We use your information to schedule and perform service, send appointment confirmations and reminders, send invoices and account notifications, and respond to your requests. We do not sell your personal information.
SMS / text messaging
If you provide your mobile number and consent, we send you service-related text messages (appointment confirmations and reminders, crew-on-the-way notices, and invoice and payment notifications). Message frequency varies.Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
Make it Rain, LLC will not sell or share your mobile phone number or your SMS consent with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.Phone numbers are used only to deliver the messages described above through our messaging provider (Twilio). Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchase or of receiving service.
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we do not send login or verification codes by text — account security uses an authenticator app instead. Full details, including how to opt in and out, are on our Text Message Program page.
Data sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us operate, and only as needed to provide our services: Twilio (text messages), Stripe (payments), DigitalOcean (hosting and file storage), Google Maps (turning addresses into map positions and drive times), Firebase (push notifications to crew phones), ElevenLabs and OpenAI (voice notes, as described above). We do not sell your data.
